As a new addition to the ICON sales team, Ryan Masterson is responsible for helping both prospects and current ICON clients unlock the maximum value of their impaired assets through corporate barter. Ryan’s expertise in sales spans 16 years in the video-game industry working for industry leaders including Mattel Interactive, Atari and THQ Inc.
Before joining ICON, Ryan spent six years with THQ Inc., most recently in the position of Vice President of Sales for the Americas. In this role he was responsible for managing a sales team that called on all retail and distribution accounts in the US, Canada, Mexico and Latin America. At the end of 2011, Ryan was nominated Global Publishing Person of the Year and winner of the Outstanding Impact Award at THQ.
It was at THQ that Masterson was first introduced to ICON and corporate barter where he championed a deal between THQ and ICON for excess gaming inventory. After seeing first-hand the positive benefit of a corporate-barter transaction, he chose to make it his profession.
Masterson received a BS in Policy Analysis from Cornell University. He resides in Wilton, CT where he is actively involved in his children’s youth sports leagues.
Most People Don’t Know That… Masterson played quarterback and running back on Cornell University’s varsity-football program for four years.
