William L. Sullivan

Vice President, Business Development

After seven years with another corporate-barter firm, William Sullivan joined ICON in 1999 to take charge of all phases of sales and new-business development. Before then, he worked for several Fortune 500 companies at the highest level in both domestic and international arenas. These included a 15-year stint at General Electric, during which he reported directly to legendary chairman Jack Welch, designing, budgeting and implementing numerous sales and marketing programs for GE’s 13 core businesses.

Mr. Sullivan describes his greatest strength as “being able to describe what we do to the correct level and the right person to get an account interested in moving forward with ICON. Fortunately, my current position allows me to be creative with management support.”

Sullivan completed his undergraduate work at the University of Hartford (CT), where he earned a BS in economics with a minor in finance. He also holds a masters in business administration from the University of New Haven (CT).

Most People Don’t Know That… Among other places, Sullivan has worked extensively in Spain, Saudi Arabia and Russia.
