Chris Levy

Senior Vice President, Chief Credit Officer

Chris Levy joined ICON in 2002 as its first chief credit officer. In that role, Mr. Levy is responsible for strategic and tactical firm-wide client credit-risk policies, procedures, compliance and control. He also defines and supervises all aspects of the credit/collections analyst function, sets objectives and manages day-to-day results. Since 2009, Mr. Levy has also been a member of the Omnicom Group Credit Officers' Group and Task Force.

Prior to joining ICON, Levy held executive-director and managing-director positions for nearly 10 years in structured finance and debt syndicate with UBS Securities LLC, where he was responsible for underwriting, structuring, pricing and managing the distribution of senior secured and unsecured transactions with commercial-bank and institutional investors. In 1996, he established UBS Securities’ Latin American Loan Syndicate, which he managed prior to and after its 1998 merger with Swiss Bank Corp.

Prior to UBS, Levy was senior vice president in charge of the western region in the corporate-finance division of Barclays Bank PLC. In 1975, he began his career at Bankers Trust Company, where he held more responsible positions in its international, corporate and leveraged finance businesses in New York City, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Levy attended The Loyola School in New York City. In 2006, he received its Robert I. Gannon S.J. Award, presented annually to the alumnus or alumna whose body of service, support and dedication to the mission and values of the school and its community best exemplify those of its namesake. Levy is a former vice chairman of the board of trustees of Loyola, where he served for seven years on its executive committee and chaired the finance committee.

Levy holds an AB degree cum laude in political science from Boston College.
