Duncan Simpson

Chief Technology Officer

Duncan Simpson, Chief Technology Officer, ICON InternationalDuncan Simpson provides design and support for the systems and technologies that run ICON’s day-to-day internal-business operations. These range from communications (phones, computer programming, security and connectivity) to program and application design, technical support and remote-access systems.

Says Mr. Simpson, “I’ve always been a technical problem solver and a good analyst. I’m constantly searching for ways to make a business more efficient and automated. And I’ve been in IT since… well, since before it was called IT! It was called MIS at the time.”

Simpson received a B.S. in General Studies with a concentration in business from The University of Bridgeport in December 2011.  He came to ICON in the late 1990s from his position as assistant vice president of technology at technical recruiting firm Howard Systems International, which placed technology workers into Fortune 500 companies. There, he managed recruitment, internal work flows, billing and more for 28 offices throughout the country.
