Kevin McCarthy joined ICON as senior vice president, account director in July 2018. His vast agency knowledge (30+ years) and his incredible ability to listen is a great adjunct to provide customized solutions and create ever-lasting partnerships with ICON clients.
Before joining ICON, Kevin served as director, Discovery solutions within the advertising sales group at Discovery Communications. In that role, he drove revenue and premium pricing by nurturing relationships with key partners, and strategically leveraged the assets of the DCI portfolio to meet their marketing goals.
Prior to Discovery, Kevin enjoyed a long tenure at Omnicom, including at Team Subaru, where he had oversight of planning/buying across all media for the automaker. At OMD/BBDO, he developed and implemented media strategies for many top brands such as Frito-Lay, Pizza Hut, Gillette, Charles Schwab, and the NBA among others. It was there that he got introduced to ICON – executing deals with both Frito Lay and Subaru.
Kevin is an avid fan of all sports, and enjoys attending concerts. He graduates with a BS in Media Studies from Fordham University.
