Kelly Emmert

Senior Vice President, Business Development

Kelly Emmert joined the ICON sales department as senior vice president, business development after holding posts in account management, corporate operations and most recently as vice president of marketing and communications.  She brings with her 17 years of knowledge from working in all aspects of a corporate-barter transaction.  Kelly uses her in-depth experience to help prospective clients formulate new transactions that work for the near and long term.  Her ability to integrate clients into ICON’s partnership network, as well as link them with other clients has resulted in new business for clients, media partners, agencies and ICON. She has overseen a myriad of accounts over the years and has recently added international business to her roster.

While in marketing, Kelly managed the promotional and communication initiatives for ICON’s sales and media groups which included publishing ICON’s Year in Review and other collateral, developing and maintaining the company’s website, advertising, public relations, the conference-and-trade-show efforts as well as generating promotional ideas – even responding to RFPs. During her tenure in operations she managed media inventories, forged capacity partnerships and worked on joint partnerships with Omnicom. In her five years in account management, Kelly oversaw accounts including Pepsi, Mazda, Hormel, BMW, Lennox, Bird’s Eye, Allied Domecq, Wrigley, LensCrafters and Logitech.

Prior to joining the ICON family, Emmert spent nearly four years at Volvo Cars North America as a regional marketing manager where she first encountered the concept of barter.

Emmert has been combining her BA degree from SUNY Oswego (double major in English and Communications) with her professional experience and creative problem-solving skills ever since joining ICON in 2001.
