The ICON Digital Department is Expanding

GREENWICH, Conn., October 10, 2018 – ICON International, a specialty finance company engaged in corporate barter with a focus on advertising and media buying, is strengthening the core capabilities of its digital media department. Mitch Weinstein, who came on board in 2017, spearheads the group as senior vice president, director of digital media. Weinstein has been focused on building out digital capabilities and driving technical innovation, with the goal of increasing the value delivered to clients and agencies through the execution of digital media.

Weinstein recently added two key leaders to the digital media team:
Brianna O’Neill was brought on as vice president, business development, digital and programmatic. O’Neill will be responsible for driving demand for ICON’s programmatic private marketplaces, which include high quality, full episode player video inventory, as well as reach-based, efficient display impressions and everything in between. “I’m very excited to offer agencies and marketers the ability to reach their audiences through a wide range of inventory sources, while simultaneously leveraging ICON’s unique market position as a financially favorable trade partner for publishers and ad tech platforms,” O’Neill stated.

O’Neill was most recently head of east coast sales for Channel Factory, a YouTube integrated partner, and prior to that covered regional and national sales for AOL’s local news division, Patch. O’Neill brings strong digital knowledge to ICON, with a unique perspective on video and localized targeting.

ICON is also pleased to announce the appointment of Brooke Sparacino as director of ad operations & technology platforms. Sparacino oversees all aspects of digital trafficking, tagging and reporting, as well as ICON’s programmatic trading desk, which includes buying across ICON private marketplaces, as well as open exchange inventory. Sparacino most recently led ad operations and programmatic buying at WMI in Westport, CT. Prior to that, she was a senior lead of ad operations at Moxie Interactive, and served as the local ad operations lead at Digitas in New York.

“This position with ICON presents a unique opportunity for me to tap into my ad operations and programmatic experience, as well as strategize with internal staff to develop innovative products to meet clients’ evolving needs and business objectives. I’m very excited to be working in such a client-focused environment,” Sparacino said.

Weinstein, together with newly appointed Brianna O’Neill, Brooke Sparacino, and the rest of the digital media team, is focused on a trajectory of continuing to enhance ICON’s digital product suite, including programmatic private marketplaces, reporting & analytics, and digital trafficking & operations, all while leveraging ICON’s unique inventory position in the digital marketplace.

“We are greatly looking forward to Brianna’s and Brooke’s contributions as we continue to push innovation and value for ICON clients. Our clients turn to us for solutions to drive their business objectives in the most efficient manner possible, while extracting maximum value from their partnership with ICON. With the addition of these two new team members, we will have the right resources in place to meet, and exceed, client goals,” Weinstein stated.
